ACCESS YOUR MEDICAL IMAGING AND RECORDS WITH POCKETHEALTH

 

King-Mar patients can now view, better understand and instantly share their medical imaging records within their circle of care, through PocketHealth! With just a few clicks, you can securely access your imaging records from anywhere, on any device. (Note: King-Mar no longer provides CDs and paper reports.)

Here are answers to some of the Frequently Asked Questions:

 

1. How do I access and share my records with PocketHealth?

Visit pockethealth.com/kingmar to enroll to request your records and select the plan that works best for you (Basic plan is free).

To enroll, you will need:

• Your name as used in your medical records

• Your date of birth

• Your OHIP Number (or your Medical Record Number (MRN), if a provincial health number is not applicable. If you don't know your MRN, please contact us.)

• A valid email address

• A valid credit card if you choose to upgrade to a paid subscription plan.

If you are not the patient and are acting as a delegate (for example, the patient is a minor under the age of 18 years and you are their parent/guardian, or you have a valid power of attorney to take care of your elderly parent, etc.), you will need the above listed information for the patient and provide documentation to validate your delegate relationship.

Once your records are ready to view, you'll receive an activation email from PocketHealth with a secure link within 24-48 hours (for previous imaging) or when recent imaging studies are finalized. From that email, answer the final account verification question to login.

When prompted, create a username and password for your account. Once the account is created, return to your PocketHealth account by visiting pockethealth.com, clicking "Log In" in the top right corner and inputting your username and password.

Instantly download or share your records with your circle of care. Navigate to the "Share" button on the top right corner, click "Modify" on the window displayed to select the records you wish to share, click "Confirm" and choose how you want to share your records.

Your referring doctor (and/or any other receiving physician) can then easily view or import these imaging and reports in full diagnostic quality with no software or account set-up needed.

 

2. How much it cost?

The PocketHealth Basic plan is free for our patients. You can download your imaging and reports to your desktop and share via fax for free.

 

For more advanced feature like online viewing on your phone, personalized insights, and tools to understand results better, paid plans start at $29/year.

 

3. When will my imaging and reports be available?

Generally, your imaging and reports will be available in your PocketHealth account once finalized, within 2-3 business days after your exam/study/procedure day.

 

You will be able to see any imaging previously completed at King-Mar in your PocketHealth account.

 

4. How can I share my imaging and records?

With a free Basic plan, you can fax the Access Page to your healthcare provider.

 

With a paid plan, you can print, email or fax the Access Page.

 

The Access Page contains a 9-digit security code, with instructions on how the recipient can easily access your imaging records. Below is a sample of an Access Page:​ ​​
